ABOUT US
At Stratford Occupational Therapy and Counselling Services, we believe that meaningful well-being comes from the connection between mental health, physical health, daily life, and a person’s sense of purpose. Healing and growth do not happen in isolation—they are shaped by our relationships, routines, environments, and the demands of everyday living.
Our counselling and occupational therapy services are grounded in a holistic, client-centred approach that recognizes each individual as a whole person, not a diagnosis. We understand that emotional well-being, sensory processing, physical capacity, identity, and life roles are deeply interconnected. Because of this, our team works collaboratively to support both internal experiences (thoughts, emotions, nervous system regulation) and external realities (daily activities, routines, work, school, family life, and community participation).
We prioritize connection, safety, and respect, creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued exactly as they are. Rather than focusing solely on what is “wrong,” we build on strengths, capacities, and personal goals. Our clinicians draw from evidence-based practices while remaining flexible and responsive to each individual’s unique needs, values, and lived experience.
Whether through counselling, occupational therapy, or a combination of both, our goal is to help people develop insight, build skills, and create sustainable changes that support long-term well-being. We believe every person has the capacity for growth, resilience, and meaningful participation in life—and we are honoured to walk alongside our clients on that journey.
